Tiny, thin stem.  Pale; white and peppermint stalks that bear the weight of your mauve petals with dignity.  You stand straight, despite the wind. Revelling in your solitary beauty.

Blackbird singing at the break of day

Your vibrant trill rises and falls, a greeting call to the universe. Your song drops into the stillness of the morning, a small but significant weight that dents the dawn vibrations. The sound waves resonate outwards like ripples in still, deep water, touching those waking to the dawn with your hopeful insistence.

Snow

A white layer of glace icing, glimmering and winking; crunching underfoot in pristine complaint. Trickling through my hands like freshly-made breadcrumbs; adorning the trees as they bow to it's princely state.
